As part of your Italian course, we organise weekly outings to give you the chance to explore Tuscany. Our teachers will accompany you around Arezzo, sharing information on its history and well-known sites. They will also organise trips to some of the attractive nearby towns and villages such as Anghiari, Castiglion Fiorentino, Poppi, Stia and Monte San Savino, showing you around and introducing you to local craftsmen before you sit down to a well-deserved coffee and chat.
If you want to organize your own free time, Arezzo and its surrounding areas have a lot to offer.
Arezzo is close to other great sites in Tuscany, which are easily accessible by car, train or bus: less than an hour from Florence, a little bit more than an hour from Siena, Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, 30 minutes from Cortona, 60 minutes from Montepulciano and Montalcino, to name a few. Rome is only 70 minutes away with the fastest train. There are dozens of sites within easy reach to make your visit something to treasure.
I really enjoyed the two week intensive course. The people are very friendly and flexible, meeting all my needs. Atmosphere is positive and focussed on helping us learn. Arezzo is a lovely city, lot to see and to do here as weel, as a great base to explore Tuscany and Italy and to experience Italian life in a truly italian town. Thanks for the experience!!!
