Our Policies

All registrations are subject to the following general conditions:

When paying by bank transfer, you should state the name of the student for whom the payment is being made. Please also consider that students are liable to pay all bank fees in connection with making a transfer.

Upon receipt of the deposit, the school will send the student confirmation details of the course, and of accommodation if required.

The balance of the course must be paid in full by the first day of commencement of the course.

Age restrictions

We regret that we can only accept students aged 16 years and over.
Those under the age of 18 years may only register for courses upon presentation of a completed minors' disclaimer form to be signed by both parents, and returned to the school well before the start of the course.

Cancellation policy

In the case of cancellation or the need to change your course dates, the €130 deposit will not be refunded but will be considered valid for a subsequent course, to be attended within a 12 month period from the date of the cancelled or postponed course.

LESSONS

Intensive Courses
The number of students per group is from 5-10.
Lessons will take place from 9.00h and 14.30h
Lessons last for 50 minutes.

The school reserves the right to re-schedule morning lessons to the afternoon when it is ecessary to re-organise schedules or manage space issues.

In case of didactic differences within a class, we may decide to divide it into smaller groups * revising lesson times as follows:

3 - 4 people: three hours a day
2 people: two and a half hours a day
1 person: an hour and a half a day

* A small group can often be more intense in terms of workload so by managing the groups in this way, our aim is that these students reach the same level as those in larger groups.

Evening classes (2 or 4 lessons per week)
Lessons take place in the afternoon after 14.00h
Lessons last for 60 minutes*

*Subject to change as lesson time will be determined by the number of students per class

Individual and semi-private courses
Lessons take place from 9.00h and 14.30h
Lessons last for 60 minutes
Individual lessons will take place in the morning if organisational and space issues, and teacher availability allows.

Course Attendance

Intensive Courses and Evening Courses:
If the student is only able to attend the course infrequently or has to miss classes for various reasons, we regret that we are unable to offer additional lessons or financial reimbursement.

Individual and Semi-Private Courses:
In case of absence, students should notify the school by e-mail or by telephone at least 24 hours before the lesson. We hope to be able to re-schedule the lesson to take place on an alternative day or time. If we do not receive a 24-hour notice period ahead of cancellation, unfortunately the lesson is forfeited with no financial reimbursement or alternative timings offered.

Liability

Cultura Italiana Arezzo cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, prejudice or detriment caused to students in any way.

Accommodation

One of the services offered by Cultura Italiana Arezzo is the organisation of accommodation for the duration of your stay, either in the city centre or in the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
We are able to offer students a wide range of accommodation: family rooms (for one or two people, with or without private bathroom), apartments to share with other students, independent apartments, hotels, B & Bs or country farms (agriturismi)

All the places proposed by the school have been selected by the management according to location, condition of the building, interior furnishings, cleanliness, comfort and host capability.
Important criteria such as the commitment, reliability, friendliness and culture of hosting family members have been taken into consideration.

Cultura Italiana Arezzo acts solely as intermediary between student and the accommodation owners to organise accommodation, and is therefore exempt of any responsibility pertaining to relations between landlords and students.

The school will be available to provide assistance however in case of issues, and students should contact our secretary if they are dissatisfied. Wherever possible, we will promptly organise alternative accommodation for the student.

Students are requested to act in a responsible and respectful manner during their stay, or risk expulsion from their accommodation without financial reimbursement of expenses incurred.

Reservations run from Sunday, the day before the course begins, to Saturday, the day following the end of the course. If a student decides to extend their stay in their accommodation, they will be required to pay an additional fee, details of which will be confirmed when the request to extend is made.

Please note that it is essential that students contact owners directly at least one week before their departure for Italy, to confirm their estimated arrival time at their accommodation.

All costs for the consumption of gas, electricity and water are included in the overall rental cost of the accommodation.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

If the kitchen and/or bathroom are to be shared with the host family, students are required to leave it/them clean and tidy after use.

Where applicable, students will have use of a washing machine by prior agreement with the landlord.

Grazie a tutti!
Buona fortuna!
